The authorities say that more than 60 were injured in the accident, in the northwest of Mexico City because the cause remains clear.

According to the authorities, at least 10 people were killed after a freight train hit a two -story bus in Mexico.

The accident occurred in an industrial zone on the highway between Atlacomulco, a city about 115 km (71 miles) in the northwest of Mexico City and Maravatio in the state of Michoacan on Monday.

Images of the accident showed parts of the upper broken bus bridge and its metal frame has seriously unbalanced. The first speakers were on the scene and completed the region.

Authorities said at least 61 other people were injured in the incident.

The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico said that seven of the people killed were women and that three were men.

The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately clear, although a video circulating online showed that the bus was passing on the railways while waiting in traffic.

Another video, according to the collision, showed the bus to rest on the side of the slopes, with the missing roof. People could be seen to move to the upper level while the train slows down.

“Help me, help me,” you could hear a woman crying.

The train operator, the Canadian Kansas Pacific, the city of Mexico, confirmed the accident and sent its condolences to the families of the victims.

The company based in Calgary said that its staff was on the spot and was cooperated with the authorities.

Rebeca Miranda told the Associated Press news agency that her sister and daughter-in-law of her sister were on the bus when she was struck around 6:30 am (12:30 p.m. GMT).

She said that her sister had been taken to the hospital and had been able to speak, but the other woman died in the accident. She said the two were domestic workers.

“It’s really unhappy,” she told the news agency. “Why? To beat the train. These are lives.”
