President Donald Trump called on foreign companies to prioritize the hiring and to train American workers, following an important operation to apply immigration in a manufacturing installation of Hyundai engines in Georgia last week.
The RAID led to the detention of around 475 workers, which prompted Trump to exhort respect for American immigration laws. In response, he reassured foreign investors that their contributions are valued, promising a rationalized legal path to bring qualified personnel to the United States
While the South Korean government has expressed its regrets because of the incident, Trump explored the idea of allowing international manufacturing experts to help train American workers, maintaining a diplomatic balance with South Korea in the midst of tensions.
