Gaza – Hamas said that Sunday, September 7, 2025, it was ready to discuss the release of all hostages in exchange for the end of the war in Gaza, a complete Israeli withdrawal, and the creation of an independent Palestinian committee to govern ferrocia.
The Palestinian movement said it had received “ideas” for a cease-fire agreement on the American side through intermediaries and praised any initiative to stop the fighting.
Hamas has also called for guarantees of Israel’s clear and explicit commitment to any agreement, warning against a repetition of past agreements which, according to him, have been rejected or abandoned.
Trump’s statements
American president Donald Trump wrote on his social platform Truth on Sunday that “the Israelis accepted my conditions. It is time for Hamas to accept too”, adding: “This is my last warning, there will not be another!”
An Israeli official, who spoke subject to anonymity, said that Israel “seriously envisaged” the American proposal, who was delivered to Hamas this weekend and described it as “President Donald Trump’s proposal”.
Israel Channel 12 reported that as part of the plan, Israel would cancel its offensive to capture Gaza City. The 48 hostages still held in Gaza – of which about 20 which would be alive – would be released on the first day of the truce in exchange for thousands of Palestinian prisoners. The discussions on the end of the war would then begin under the mediation of Trump, the ceasefire remaining in place while the negotiations continue. / / Xinhua
