About twenty people were injured as a result of what was initially considered a dangerous potential incident at Heathrow Airport today.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said earlier during the day: “The firefighters respond to a possible dangerous incident equipment at Heathrow airport. Specialized teams were deployed to carry out an assessment of the scene, and part of the airport was evacuated as a precaution while the firefighters respond.

“The brigade was called for the first time about the incident at 5:01 pm, and crews from Feltham, Heathrow, Wembley and surrounding fire station were sent to the scene.” While a spokesperson for Heathrow Airport said: “Terminal 4 was closed and evacuated while emergency services respond to an incident.”

Around 8:30 p.m., a spokesperson for the airport wrote on X: “Emergency services have confirmed that Terminal 4 is sure to reopen and we do our best to make sure that all flights left as planned today. We are sorry for the caused disturbance, the safety and safety of our passengers and colleagues is our number one priority.

“We encourage passengers to check with their airline for the latest information on their flight this evening and our colleagues will be there at night to help.”

In the last police ‘update, they confirmed “no trace of unfavorable substance was found” after the police were called to Terminal 4.

In a statement, a spokesperson for The Force said: “Monday, September 8 at 4:56 p.m. Monday was called to a potential incident on dangerous materials at Heathrow, Terminal Quatre airport.

“Specialized officers attended the scene alongside the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service and carried out in -depth research in the region.

“No trace of unfavorable substance has been found. About 20 people reported an injury. None has been deemed fatal or that changes their life. Investigations are underway.”
