Stargazers around the world were treated to a spectacular total lunar eclipse, known as Blood Moon, Sunday evening in early Monday.
The moon transformed a deep and dark red while the earth passed directly between the sun and the moon, throwing its shadow through the lunar surface, reports News.az, citing the BBC.
Asia had the best seats in the house, while the countries of the Middle East and Europe also took advantage of privileged views.
The eclipse was visible to the naked eye and unlike solar eclipses was sure to consider directly because the reflected light of the moon is not as brilliant.
The captivating display was visible in its entirety in several countries of the world.
