Police investigate a fire at the office of the district of a Labor MP, said his spokesperson.

A spokesperson for Ms. Hodgson said: “An incident occurred overnight in the Sharon office.
“We will not comment or speculate while there is an in progress police investigation, which we are clear about is that there is no room for this type of violence in our society.
“Sharon will not be dissuaded and will continue to support his voters in Washington and Gateshead South as she is day after day.
“Voters should contact their problems by sending an email in the usual way.”
