New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack on civilians in Israel on Monday. Prime Minister Modi said that India “condemns terrorism in all its forms and demonstrations”.“Strongly condemn the odious terrorist attack against innocent civilians in Jerusalem today. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a rapid recovery to the wounded people. India condemns terrorism in all its forms and demonstrations and is firm in its zero tolerance policy with regard to terrorism”, wrote PM Modi on X.At least six people were killed and 12 others injured after armed men opened fire on a bus at an animated intersection in Northern Jerusalem on Monday. The shooting took place at a major intersection at the northern entrance of Jerusalem, on a road which leads to Jewish colonies located in East Jerusalem.The attackers shot people waiting for a bus stop, the police said, while the Israeli media reported that the attackers were also mounted on a crowded bus and opened fire inside.Images of the scene have shown that shuttlers were fleeing during the morning rush hour while shots are bursting near a bus stop. Paramedical paramedics described chaos, broken glass and several victims of unconscious on the road and the sidewalk. Israeli police reported that two “terrorists” were “neutralized” shortly after the assault, although they did not clarify their condition.Hundreds of Israeli security personnel rushed into the region to search for attackers or additional explosives. The soldiers said that he had surrounded Palestinian villages near Ramallah in the West Bank in the context of security measures interrupted following the attack. Hamas welcomed the assault as a “natural response to the crimes of the occupation”, although it has ceased to claim direct responsibility.
