The British government summoned Russia’s ambassador after missiles and drones on kyiv killed at least 15 people and damaged the British council building, said Foreign Minister David Lammy. “Putin strikes killed civilians last night, destroyed houses and damaged buildings, including the British council delegation and the EU in kyiv…. We have summoned the Russian ambassador,” said Lammy in an article on X.
The EU also takes diplomatic measures
EU’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said she spoke to European diplomats in kyiv following the strike that had damaged EU offices. She announced that Brussels would also summon the Russian envoy. “I confirm that we will invoke the affairs of the Russian in charge. This meeting will still take place today,” said EU spokesperson Anitta Hipper. She added: “No diplomatic mission should never be a target for two strikes. It is therefore our answer to this question. ”
