The highest tower of Tokyo Skytree lights up in Tri-Color to welcome the visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The emblematic Tokyo Skytree was lit in the colors of the Indian national flag during the visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday August 29. It is the highest tower in Japan and showing the colors of the Indian flag on this subject marks the importance of relations between the two countries. Modi is in Tokyo for a two-day visit to attend the 15th India-Japan annual summit. He was greeted by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. The tower visuals were shared by the spokesperson for the MEA, Randir Jaiswal, on X.

“Tokyo Sky Tree has turned on in the colors of the Indian flag in honor of the visit of PM @ Narendramod in Japan for the 15th Indian-Japan annual summit. It is the highest tower in Japan.”

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi had bilateral discussions with his Japanese counterpart, Shigeru Ishiba. The two leaders held a joint press conference after the meeting.

Some of the main areas of cooperation between India and Japan are –

Defense: India and Japan will work together to develop the unified complex radio antenna (Unicorn) for the Indian Navy.

Space: The ISRO and JAXA of Japan collaborate together on the LUPEX mission, which will explore the southern pole of the moon.

Investments: Japan has set itself the aim of investing 10 yen billions in India over the next 10 years.

Sharing the experience of the wonderful meeting with President Fukushiro Nukaga and a group of deputies from Japan, Prime Minister Modi wrote on his X “, we discussed strong and friendly relations between India and Japan, with a particular accent on the main parliamentary sectors, health, health, mobility partnership, AI, science and science.”

Beyond politics and commerce, the visit of the PM Modi also means cultural ties between the two countries. Prime Minister Modi also met the Indian community in Japan, stressing the important role of the diaspora (movement of people far from their own country) in the construction of closer links.

India and Japan had improved their links with a special strategic and global partnership a decade ago and this visit should further strengthen this link between the two countries.
